We bought this gadget for a department at a University. We have been super pleased. We had issues with houskeeping stealing and kicked them out. We found ourselfs cleaning our own offices and Biology labs. Needless to say, nobody wanted to push around a vacuum...We got this instead. People are clamering for it. We even had to create a signout sheet for its use. It picks up pipet tips (little tips used to suck up liquid) and hair and dust. Everything. It is so powerful that we have to empty out the canister after every use because it picks up so much!!
Thanks iRobotfor this awesome product! Just push the button and leave it to clean up! One thing-never watch it or will become annoyed. Just turn it on and leave-come back and your floors are clean. Carpet and tile alike!

iRobot 1100 Dirt Dog Workshop Robot
I bought this based on a recommendation from a friend as a way to clean my hard wood floors. It is everything I had hoped it would be. I have not used it anywhere but inside but I expect when I get around to cleaning the garage and basement it will not let me down!

Seriously though, we own a dirt dog from Irobot. and this little babby gets up our little dogs tremendous amount of hair that not even our huge wall unit shop vac picks up.

if you own pets get it.. you're missing hair.. we've yet to really find any material except extreme shaggg carpet that this thing will not go over nor crap it will pick up.

if only they could devolop this model in a lighter plastic material and increase it's power and ability to go over shag carpet this thing could do it all i think.

i mean besides beeing a little slower this thing still picks up dog hair that our shop vac unit doesnt that says a lot for a 100 vaccuum


downfalls -

slow.
will most always unjam itself or alert you. we're not 100% robot creator perfect yet.
will go over most floor materials. very few that it can't
obviously can't clear certain areas because of it's radius(again the 100% us beeing able to create perfect robots yet isnt here yet)

other than that it rocks.. the price rocks.. this thing has taking a beating maintaine it and we've had ours for atleast a year and still cleaning like a champ.

you're dump if you don't atleast try one.

WOW, is all I can say. This is my second irobot product, I also own the scooba floor washing robot (which I also love). I bouth this to use in my ourdoor spaces like garage and large (20'x40') outdoor living space. It does agreat job in those spaces which I expected, but I did not expect that it would work so well on my hardwood floor inside! I run this EVERYDAY inside. We recently took up all of our carpet and I really was not prepared for the amount of dust and hair that I would see on my floors everyday. On a whim I decided to run this to see how much dust it would pick up, WOW was I amazed. I am now thinkg about getting 2 one for inside and one for out. I love this product and would highly recommend it to any one who hates sweeping as much as I do.
