Product Description
When you loved the one who was killing you, it left you no options. How could you run, how could you fight, when doing so would hurt that beloved one? If your life was all you had to give, how could you not give it? If it was someone you truly loved?

To be irrevocably in love with a vampire is both fantasy and nightmare woven into a dangerously heightened reality for Bella Swan. Pulled in one direction by her intense passion for Edward Cullen, and in another by her profound connection to werewolf Jacob Black, a tumultuous year of temptation, loss, and strife have led her to the ultimate turning point. Her imminent choice to either join the dark but seductive world of immortals or to pursue a fully human life has become the thread from which the fates of two tribes hangs.

Now that Bella has made her decision, a startling chain of unprecedented events is about to unfold with potentially devastating, and unfathomable, consequences. Just when the frayed strands of Bella's life-first discovered in Twilight, then scattered and torn in New Moon and Eclipse-seem ready to heal and knit together, could they be destroyed... forever?

The astonishing, breathlessly anticipated conclusion to the Twilight Saga, Breaking Dawn illuminates the secrets and mysteries of this spellbinding romantic epic that has entranced millions.

2 out of 5 stars written completely different from the rest of the books   August 28, 2008

i would have rated BD better if it wasnt a part of the twilight series. that being said, i thought this final enstallment was written from a completely different author. many, many times i was like "wait..is this really S.Meyer writing this?" all of the tension between bella/edward/jacob and the volturi that was built up in the series was almost nonexistant in BD. it felt like the author ran out of storyline and plot and filled the entire book with fluff until the very end, only to let down the reader..again.

it was a decent story, but a complete let down for being the conclusion of the twilight series.

5 out of 5 stars An Artist among authors!!   August 28, 2008

Breaking Dawn is an amazing read!! The first of the three books, was very well written, leaving you in suspense and awe at what just happened!!! Book three was a little more difficult reading it from the point of view she wrote it from......but I think personally it was because I wanted to be back with Bella and Edward and get more juice on what was really happening. Book three was still very well written. It gave us a peek and many of the events that were going on that we could not have seen otherwise!!!! Plus we saw Bella from a side we really haven't seen her from before. Book three was the cherry on top!! It was so meaty and juicy!!! And Stephenie really was able to give us shock, and.....what we all wanted to happen. A lot of us wanted Bella and Edward to be together forever, but we wanted Jacob to be happy as well!!!! And some of you wanted Jacob and Bella to be together for ever, but for Edward to not suffer. In a way I believe we all got a bit of what we wanted out of the story.
I started reading reviews today, and was shocked at what I saw....some people have really written some nasty things. So ask yourself what it is that you wanted out of the books.......you cannot expect this book to highlight all of your #1 priorities or standards for young adults to follow. So Stepheni picked out some very, very good ones for all young adults to follow. She made it clear that while education is important and a must...that family will always come first. She makes it clear that a young girl and a young mans innocence is of the upmost importance....no matter how tempting it is!!!
Stephenie Meyer is an amazing author....I have over 500 books in my collection, and she in my opinion is even with my other favorite author..Tolkien. An ordinary author can describe a scene so you know what it looks like. Stephenie Meyer doesn't just describe a scene....she paints it for you, so that you feel it, and breath it, and feel like you are there while it is happening!!!! She is a young author, who is only going to get better with time!!

3 out of 5 stars A Bit Lackluster   August 27, 2008

I was anxiously awaiting this 4th installment in the Twilight series, and bought it as soon as it became available for the Kindle. I did enjoy the book, just not as much as the previous 3. I believe that what made it different for me was not so much the storyline but the narrative. Stephenie Meyer just didn't seem as comfortable writing as Jacob. The first part of the book seemed a bit disjointed and didn't engage me the way she normally does. When Bella's narrative took over, Meyer was in her groove and the book clicked for me from there. Overall, I would recommend this book, it just doesn't live up to the 3 that lead up to it.

1 out of 5 stars I can't believe I was so excited for this mess...   August 27, 2008

SPOILERS AHEAD!

I was so excited for the 4th and final book of the twilight saga that I bought it from a borders in an airport because i had just got back from a vacation the day it came out. I immediately started reading it and was at most liking it at first. But then Bella became a nympho on her honeymoon and to top it off she got pregnant. How does a vampire who can't even cry still produce sperm?? I couldn't believe that a character I felt I could relate to with the clumsy-ness and hate for the high school experience would go and get herself pregnant and not even think about the negative side to 1. being a teen mother and 2. keeping that creepy child she produced. Then half the book turned into Jacob's point of view and I couldn't have been more angry. The books have always been in Bella's pov so why would SM change it up right in the middle?? The character's personalities all did a complete 180 in this book. When would Edward have ever suggest that Jacob could impregnate Bella. Weird much? And introducing all those new vampires and then they have no part was really a waste of time. Also, Jacob imprinting on Bella's daughter. What the heck was that about. Awkward much? Stephenie Meyer should really be disappointed in her self for such an awful story line. This book held so much potential and she went and ruined it. I can't believe so many people on this site actually gave this book a 5 star rating.
